CONTRIBUTION|Setolabo’s Social Impact Activities
Setolabo LLC leverages insights gained in clinical settings to engage in a variety of social impact initiatives aimed at building a healthier, more secure future for everyone. We are currently placing particular emphasis on forward-looking efforts such as educational support for young people and contributions to medical research.
Education & Research Support
■ Support for MEXT’s “Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN” Program
As a corporate partner of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN” initiative, Setolabo continues to provide donations to support Japanese students pursuing study-abroad opportunities. We also host interns who wish to gain hands-on experience overseas.
■ Support for Kagawa University
At Kagawa University, the alma mater of the founder of Setolabo, our donations have led to the establishment of the “Kagawa University School of Medicine Setolabo International Exchange Grant.”
The grant is being used to support student study abroad and promote clinical research, helping to develop medical talent and advance research.

Past Initiatives in Infectious Disease Control
At the outset of the COVID-19 outbreak, Setolabo became the first private hygiene testing laboratory in Japan to propose and implement expanded PCR testing. In collaboration with government authorities, we established testing centers at 15 locations nationwide, dedicating ourselves to bolstering the regional healthcare system. In recognition of these efforts, we were awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon by His Majesty the Emperor and assisted with infection-control measures at the Tokyo Olympic Games. We have also worked closely with municipalities—including Aichi and Hiroshima Prefectures—to actively contribute to infectious-disease countermeasures and policy development.
Going forward, Setolabo will continue to walk hand-in-hand with local communities and society at large, centering our support on bridging education and healthcare. We will maintain our sustained contributions toward realizing a society in which every individual can live with security and peace of mind.
