PHILOSOPHY

Creating a healthy, smiling society through preventive medicine.

Setolabo’s corporate philosophy is “creating a healthy, smiling society through preventive medicine.”
Yet there’s another core belief we hold: fulfilling the dreams of everyone connected with Setolabo.

We value unique ideas, unconventional thinking, and genuine passion. In Japan, those who cannot stay on a predetermined track are often dismissed as “odd” or “different,” and the most talented frequently face the greatest challenges. We believe, however, that the people who change Japan—and even the world—are those who notice what others overlook, dare to act where others hesitate, and continually spark new waves of change. Setolabo is united by members who share this vision and strive to transform society.

People often ask, “Have you ever failed?” At Setolabo, the word “failure” doesn’t carry its usual meaning, because true failure only exists when you give up. Every setback from which we learn becomes a stepping stone to success rather than a defeat. Fearlessly taking on challenges is more important than anything else. Starting with just ¥50,000 in seed capital and no external investment, we have grown into an enterprise valued at hundreds of millions of yen—precisely because we kept failing fast, learning quickly, and moving forward without hesitation.

At Setolabo, we have a diverse team—varying in age and expertise—all united by big dreams. Neither age nor academic background matters; what we share is passion, drive, and a commitment to hard work. Some members have grown rapidly in a year, starting from zero skills; others leverage professional qualifications; some left public companies to join us. Work styles vary too— some collaborate under contractor agreements, choosing their own hours and locations. Our team extends beyond Japan, with international members contributing alongside our Japanese staff.

What truly unites Setolabo’s members is a burning dedication to their personal dreams. We believe success depends not on innate talent but on one’s capacity for effort. Nurturing each individual’s spark is another core principle we hold dear.
